The mission of EFOST was (and is) to spread the idea of a common effort in the field of  sports traumatology in Europe, coordinating the Societies and creating new ones in the Countries with no such organizations

·         Pavia (2006, President Prof. Dr. F. Benazzo),
·         Antalya (2008, President Prof. Dr. MN Doral),
·         Brussels (2010, President Dr. J. F. Huylebroek)

The next meeting will be held in London on October 2012 combined with the 4th World Sports Trauma Congress ((held in the olympic city every 4 years).

Relationships with EFORT
Specialty Day organized by EFOST in every EFORT meeting EFOST = EFORT being a federation of Societies Mutual agreement: considering the limited field of interest (Sports Traumatology) we remain as affiliated Society

Reasons to strengthen the relationships with EFOST: - Development in eastern countries (teaching, education) coordination with National Societies (single members, new Society: 2 journals, 2 coordinated congresses) Table of discussion with ESSKA.“Team physician travelling fellowship” will be done soon.
